Smokey Joe is a "special needs" dog. He is quite timid and appears to have been abused in the past. He will bond tightly with one person if treated with kindness and patience. He must be approached with compassion. Punishing or shouting at Smokey Joe will likely cause a person to lose Smokey's trust forever. He is extremely fearful of storms and loud noises. If you have the patience for Smokey Joe, he will make a very faithful and loving companion. His favorite hobbies will be sitting on your lap and napping on your bed with you. Not recommended for young or rowdy children. Smokey was born in 2001.

All of our animals are spayed or neutered and current on vaccinations.  Our adoption fee is $75 for one animal or $100 for two animals adopted at the same time.  If you are interested in adopting, the first step is to complete the adoption application on our website www.creatureconcerns.org.  Completing the application does not obligate you to adopt.  It is simply a vital part of the process.
