Hobbes and his sister got stuck in a wall as tiny kittens. Workers had to cut a hole in the wall to get them out. They found a happy new home, but had to be relinquished because of the economy.
Hobbes is unique because he is a male calico. He has only a tiny bit of black on his face, but still enough to classify him as a calico. He does not seem to see well. As a result, he likes to put his paw in the water when he drinks. We assume this is so he can gauge the depth and level of the water.
